Jean and I are sisters in spirit but cousins in reality.  Because neither of us had a sister, and we grew up fairly close to each other, we were fortunate to be able to spend a considerable amount of time together.

In 1989 I started my search for the perfect pet.  Little did I know how perfect she would be.  My boss at the time insisted that Westies were the absolute best companion a dog lover could have.  Within a short time, he helped me locate a breeder and even drove me there to "just take a look."  Of course it was love at first sight and I took Jessie home that day.

After Jean met Jessie, she knew she had to have a Westie to call her own.  Two years later and after passing all the tests that a responsible breeder would insist on, (wow!) she brought Molly into her life.

After deciding one Westie wasn't enough, two years later I added Maggie to my family.

Organizing the WestieWalk is just one more way we choose to demonstrate our passion and love for Westies.

Update - Since starting the WestieWalk in 2001 we have seen it grow in the  number of Westies participating from 3 to 187.   Westie Rescue has become the focus of our club and your participation in our WestieWalks enables us continue this important work.
