W.O.O.F
WestieWalk was created to bring together Westie owners and their friends for fun, fellowship, and education while benefiting the following worthy causes: Central Ohio Westie Rescue (local) - In 2002, we started doing Westie Rescue in Central Ohio. That year we placed 3 dogs. In 2003 we rescued 5 dogs, in 2004 we placed 16 Westies and in 2005, we rescued 36 Westies. Unfortunately, there is still a growing need for Westie Rescue in Central Ohio. WestieMedTM (national) - The mission of WestieMed is to help raise the quality of life and adoptability of rescued West Highland White Terriers (Westies); to provide these Westies with the opportunity to lead happy, healthy lives in stable, loving homes; to stimulate a dialogue, through its efforts and the example it sets, which will educate the general public about rescue animals and rescue organizations. Westie Foundation (national) - Welcome to the home page of the Westie Foundation of America, Inc. The mission of the Westie Foundation of America is to provide financial aid and other support for medical research in order to benefit the health and quality of life of West Highland White Terriers: and , to further develop and communicate information regarding the health, care breeding and quality of life of Westies to Westie owners, Westie breeders and veterinarians. The Westie Foundation is a non-profit corporation, recognized by the IRS as a 501.c.3 organization, meaning contributions to the Westie Foundation are tax deductible to the full extent provided by law. The primary purpose of our web site is to provide you with information about Westie health issues, health projects we are funding (or have funded) and other health resources and links. Information is also provided on the Foundation itself, how you can help us, and our Westie Gift Shop, with many beautiful and unique Westie gift items.
